2007 FESTIVAL ARCHIVE - Return to main site.

August 24, 25, 26 2007

Smoking and Campfires are currently banned on the festival grounds and everywhere in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park by order of the Governor of Michigan. There is an extreme fire danger due to the ongoing draught. A forest fire has already broken out this week in a remote area of the park. You may smoke in your car during the festival but not anywhere on festival grounds. - 23 August 2007

Finding a Place to Stay

There are many lodging options around the festival site. Ontonagon, Silver City, and White Pine all have many affordable lodges, cabins, and motel rooms close to the the south shore of Lake Superior. There are rustic campsites in the State Park. There is a large campground within walking distance of the festival site.

The best way to find lodging in the area is to call the Visitor's Bureau.
