Friends of the Porkies

The Friends of the Porkies is the non-profit organization which is putting on this festival. The Friends of the Porkies represents the interests of the users of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The Friends Of The Porkies seeks to provide a platform for ideas to improve the park, and to help it provide the best year-round recreational opportunities for all. The Friends work to employ all available resources to accomplish these goals.

Western U.P. Convention and Visitor Bureau

The Western U.P. CVB coordinates lodging requests for the festival and has contributed significant promotional support to the festival. Call 800-522-5657 or 906-932-4850 to find a room or cottage during the festival.

Porkies Ski Hill

The Ski Hill is normally closed during the summer months and its use has been donated to the festival by the operator.

Arts Midwest and National Endowment for the Arts

Several of our musicians will be presenting educational sessions during the festival thanks to a grant from Arts Midwest.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources administers the beautiful Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in which the festival will take place.
