W0AS 88.5 FM INTRODUCES "PORCUPINE MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK" April 21, 2006 (DOC) (TXT) Ken Raisanen, station manager of Ontonagon's unique public radio station, WOAS 88.5 FM, is pleased to announce the addition of the "Porcupine Mountain Music Festival Featured Artist of the Week" segment to the station's weekly lineup. The segment will air each Friday at 3:30 p.m. eastern time and will provide listeners an opportunity to hear 1-2 CDs in entirety from artists booked to perform at the Friends of the Porkies sponsored Porcupine Mountain Music Festival, to take place at the Porcupine Mountains Ski Hill/Chalet area on August 25-27, 2006. Listeners can tune in each Friday and hear CDs from artists such as singer/songwriter/acoustic blues guitar legend Rory Block, Melissa Ferrick, Willy Porter, Ember Swift and Everett Smithson Band to name few from the rapidly growing list of quality acts.
